Description
The traffic signal to turn right on Aberdeen is set to red for way too long. There were at least 20 cars behind me on Mt. Auburn St and we waited forever to be able to turn right. And then only a few made it through before the light turned red again. All the while, there was no activity in the bike lane that had the green light seemingly forever. It was ridiculous and so frustrating. This was at 2:15 pm. I can't imagine how bad it must be later in the afternoon as rush hour approaches. Please rethink this and adjust the timing of the light. Thank you.

I'm all for bike lines but getting rid of that lane there is going to result in some crazy crazy rush hour traffic that bleeds all the way down Mount Auburn to back by the hospital. The intersection with Mount Auburn and Fresh Pond Parkway is already a nightmare and this is just going to make things worse.
Also the Hayg Auto Repair garage on the corner there is constantly moving cars around right there and cyclists are definitely going to get hit by someone, most likely a customer trying to back out into the insane Mount Auburn traffic.

Yes, the same thing happened to me yesterday morning on my way to Star Market. I hadn't appreciated why until I waited forever at the red light later in the day. A car cut over from a stand still and I had to slam on my breaks to avoid crashing into it.
Also, I noticed a car cut the entire line at the red light and make the right turn despite the red light. The extremely long lines and long waiting time is causing very unsafe behavior.
