Description

Yesterday (May 30), sometime between 11am and 2:45pm, the drain/soak-pit in the middle of the end of Hancock Park (which your team has kindly sucked out once or twice) seemed to back up. A huge muddy puddle formed, as can happen sometimes there but only with many days of rain and a plugged drain. But we have had no rain. The puddle was probably 4-6” deep and 25-30 feet across. The 1-2” of mud it left behind is very smelly, like sewage or rotting material. We are hoping for two follow up steps by the city:

1) Any help you can offer to figure out what happened so it doesn’t happen again. Eg was the connected drain on Hancock STREET flooded somehow?
2) We know the street sweeper doesn’t do our street because it is private. But the mud is pretty nasty and will dry up to become inches of dust where the kids play basketball. Is there any chance a sweeper could come down the street sometime when it is nearby? We can clear the street with some warning. Or there should be room even so to get the muddy part up.
